Helping Technical Web3 Companies Do Marketing Right — Blockchain Alpha Story

I have been in the Web3 space for quite some years now, and the journey has been interesting. So far, I have seen high-utility infrastructural companies fall flat or perform below the bar because of a flaw in marketing.

I don’t feel good when these companies or protocols with great solutions are not even known at all. And for some, only a few know them. I believe companies providing a wealth of value should not even be in the “underrated” or “nobody knows them” category.

This is the truth: Customers will only use your product if they know you. Visibility begets patronage.

As a content marketing professional with years of experience, I founded Blockchain Alpha to help developer-focused companies in Web3 gain the visibility they deserve and skyrocket their revenues.

This is my official announcement of Blockchain Alpha as a Web3 technical content marketing agency.

Perhaps you have wondered to know the backstory of this disruptive agency; read on to discover more…

Where does the name come from?

I co-founded a Web3 community with Kristian Quirapas while transitioning to Web3 as a developer. The community then aimed to help people learn blockchain development and land jobs.

One day, Kristian contacted me about the idea of building a newsletter to help my flare for developer advocacy.

He suggested anything that has to do with “Alpha,” and I loved it. I modified it to Blockchain Alpha.

As you know, alpha is the first letter in the Greek alphabet, so the newsletter was planned to give top-class value.

When I was founding the agency, I scaled the name from only being the name of the newsletter to being the name of the agency.

So what we do at Blockchain Alpha is to make technical Web3 companies visible and predominant, as alpha is the foremost letter in the Greek alphabet.

How I Formed The Team — The Story

The vision I have for Blockchain Alpha is to service a lot of solid Web3 companies. There is a saying, “If you wanna go fast, go alone. But if you wanna go far, go with others.” I knew I needed to get the best hands, and the search began.

Damilola Oderinde

Damilola has been a great friend. She has been a great copywriter right from time. We have also worked together on several occasions.

There is an intriguing fact about Damilola: She has a wide range.

She can cover topics on Health, FinTech, Blockchain, & Masculinity and maintain high quality across these industries.

She is neck-deep in content marketing and strategy. I reached out to her, and she agreed to join the agency. She has been a great talent for Blockchain Alpha ever since then. She is our Head of Operations.

Fun fact: Damilola is a Python Developer as well.

Chimobi Edozie

Chimobi was one of the most active community members I co-founded with Kristian. He is proficient in Python, Solidity, and React.

Fast forward to early 2023, I contacted Chimobi to join the agency as a Technical Writer, and he agreed. Between then and now, Chimobi has helped to craft high-quality projects for our clients.

Opeyemi Adewole

Security is an invaluable aspect of Web3. As an agency that wants to help Web3 companies — including security firms — with marketing, I knew we needed a real-time auditor onboard.

Dlite, as I often call him, is one of the most amazing people I met on Twitter.

There was a time I was working on a project for Quicknode, and the bugs were getting out of hand; I reached out to Dlite, and he happily helped me with debugging; he even gave security recommendations for the smart contract in question.

He has also helped me debug a couple of times after that. And he also has a welcoming personality.

He came to mind when I wanted to add an auditor to the team. Fun fact: Dlite is equally a great technical writer. He even won a bounty in the latest Safe Content Hackathon.

David Iteli

David is an avid researcher with a strong understanding of DeFi and blockchain. I met him on Twitter.

He often publishes brilliant threads on foundational and current crypto topics. His level of insight was endearing.

He works at Blockchain Alpha as a DeFi Analyst and Researcher.

Okunola Timilehin

Timmy was my roommate at the Uni. He is a well-stacked developer who can write React, Node.js, Next.js, Solidity, and GraphQL.

Funny enough, he is also an excellent medical student. How he manages to combine everything is worthy of research.

Timmy has helped us service many of our clients within his stack to craft in-demand and highly technical content.

Victor Fawole

Victor was the one who introduced me to crypto a couple of years back. Back then, he was more of a crypto trader than anything else, and he made a lot of money as a trader; he is still one, by the way.

I have had the privilege of engaging Victor on crypto topics many times, and his high-level insights are always impressive.

He is well-versed in market analyses — and yes, he always predicts the market correctly. On the other hand, he is also a growth marketer.

He works at Blockchain Alpha on projects pertaining to crypto and core marketing.

Micheal Fawole

I can only tell my engineering story today by mentioning Micheal. He was the first engineer I looked up to. He assured me that anybody can learn to code.

I am talking about around seven years ago. This man taught me PHP himself, even though I didn’t finish the training.

He is an established Blockchain Engineer and Website Developer. I felt on top of the world the day he agreed to work at Blockchain Alpha.

We Have Been In Stealth Since January This Year

Anyone who knows me in real life will agree that even though I like speed, I am never in a rush. Whatever is built hastily is bound to fail; solid structures and foundations matter.

Most people are only hearing about Blockchain Alpha now as an agency, but we have been in operation since January 2023.

First of all, I used this period to conduct several internal training and community building to ensure maximal efficiency.

We have had a lot of internal workshops on grammar, core blockchain, and everything in between. I used the stealth period to achieve overall editorial excellence within the agency.

I can confidently say that all our technical writers write excellently well. Of course, the facts speak for themselves.

Secondly, I am a fan of having results for what I preach. I can’t claim to run marketing for companies when I cannot successfully run it myself.

That would be ironic.

Within the past seven months, we have made thousands of dollars at Blockchain Alpha without any social media presence or a single paid advertisement.

Getting Ready for Launch: How We Did Branding

As a marketing guy, I know the essence and place of branding. I needed someone who would understand the agency’s vision and craft an impressive identity.

Here comes Obatom — a veteran brand identity designer.

I contacted him a few months back for the agency. I love how he was meticulous. He held calls with me to understand the vision and scope of what I’m building.

Then he came up with the identity of Blockchain Alpha.

When the identity was settled, I knew it was time to have a website go live.

Timilehin Okunola, Chimobi Edozie, and Micheal Fawole were the three-person team from the agency that built the website from scratch.

They did within a week. They have such an amazing team of devs.

A Developer-focused Technical Content Marketing Agency

I have noticed there are quite a lot of general agencies in Web3, and they are doing very well.

In Web2, we have prominent technical content agencies such as draft.dev. However, we cannot say the same for developer-focused content in Web3.

This motivated founding Blockchain Alpha to serve technical blockchain companies such as infrastructure and dev tool providers.

Everyone on our team is equally an excellent writer and developer. Regarding technical content, we create high-quality content that screams industrial expertise.

As the founder, I code regularly. I still built a React app today and pushed it to GitHub. That’s how we all do at Blockchain Alpha.

I have noticed a huge problem:

Highly technical Web3 companies often hesitate to partner with agencies for technical content. The reason is simple: Only a dev can write efficiently to fix the problem or curiosity of other devs.

We are filing the lacunae at Blockchain Alpha.

One more thing: we go beyond creating technical content.

We help technical Web3 companies do marketing from the ground up. We take care of the entire marketing strategy, execution, and analytics.

Web3 Is Here to Stay, But Adoption is Hinged on Marketing

In the early days of the internet, many people said it was nothing but a facade. Most people, even the elite, wrote off the story or possibility of having something like the internet.

They neither found it realistic nor convincing. But here we are today with almost everyone on the internet. Even businesses make more revenues by tapping into the internet economy.

The same narrative is playing out with blockchain technology. Any good student of history will know that the decentralized web has come here to stay.

But Web3, as transforming as it is, has a couple of flaws. The most important of them is the slow adoption rate of Web3 in Marketing.

By Marketing, I don’t mean a sales method of making people buy what you offer and pushing it down their throats. Anyone who is in marketing will agree that marketing is beyond that.

Instead, I mean a holistic approach of high-quality education, communications, content strategy, sales, business development, and community building.

This is what Web3 is lacking. It is better to say this is the aspect Web3 needs to improve.

As a person, I don’t believe in sitting aloof and lamenting that something is not right without contributing my quota. That means I am not helping the issue either, so I shouldn’t criticize when I cannot help.

This is the motivation behind founding Blockchain Alpha.

I am an experienced Content Marketer who has worked with many reputable companies — Google me! I want to use my experience to help Web3 scale to mass adoption.

This is me stepping into the scene and partnering with protocols and companies to gain visibility and increase their revenues.

Helping Technical Web3 Skyrocket Revenues

Revenue Generation is one of the main things I always emphasize with the clients we’ve worked with so far.

The reason you spend well on technical content marketing should pay off. If you’re not making revenues from technical content marketing, then there is no point — this is capitalism.

At Blockchain Alpha, we are not only after millions of people reading your blogs or landing on your website. That is only a means to an end, not an end.

What is the essence of millions of people knowing you when not even a decent percentage of them swipe their cards regularly for your company?

We shouldn’t shy away from these serious discussions. As a result, we help you through your marketing cycle to the end when you make revenues — a lot of it.

With that, you can pay your workers conveniently, and your company will flourish. That’s what we do. Are you ready to turbocharge your revenues today? Hire us as your technical content marketing partner today.👨🏾‍💻🚀
